The UK-FA are extremely proud to announce that we have chosen Children’s Burns Trust as our fundraising beneficiary for the coming 12 months.
Children’s Burns Trust are a national charity dedicated to providing rehabilitation support for burned and scald injured children and their families, as well as prevention and awareness campaigns for which there is little or no national funding.
The Trust does not receive any government funding so rely on fundraising.
Children's Burns Trust offer Weekends away for families of an injured child to meet up with other families in similar situations. During the weekend the children get the opportunity to visit a local farm and play area. On the Saturday evening the parents have a special dinner where they can relax knowing that their children are being well looked after by the staff.
For young people that have suffered burn injuries the Trust offer Burns club day events and residential camp experiences. Both are funded through donations received.
Also offered by the Trust is emergency financial support to help families with associated costs, this may be travelling costs to and from the hospital or specialist rehabilitation equipment needed by the child.
